Graeme Bowd

Graeme trained as a journalist and was working in Fleet Street by the age of 22. As a reporter for the Daily Mail and the Daily Express he was based for a time in Northern Ireland and the Middle East. He later joined Thames Television and went on to report for TVS, Central Television and ITN. In more than 15 years with the ITV network he covered many of the day’s biggest news stories and appeared in hundreds of live broadcasts.
Graeme founded Red Admiral in 1997. Through the company he has produced and directed factual programmes for the BBC, Anglia, Carlton, The History Channel, Discovery Europe and Speedvision in the USA. His programme Royal International Air Tattoo for Carlton won a Royal Television Society award for best coverage of a live event.
Since 2004 he has also been the news editor of IBC TV News which provides daily coverage from Amsterdam of Europe’s biggest trade event for the broadcast industry.
Gail Downey

Gail joined the company in 2002 after 20 years as a news journalist and maker of factual programmes. A wide-ranging career has seen her involved in all sections of the media. In 1997 she made broadcast history when hers was the first voice to bring news of the car crash which killed Princess Diana. After starting in regional newspapers she moved to local radio and then to Anglia Television where she produced and presented documentaries. At the BBC in London she worked as a reporter and presenter for both radio and TV networks. At Carlton she made films across a range of subjects from the war in Bosnia to child poverty and celebrity gardens.
Besides developing new programmes for Red Admiral, Gail acts as a media consultant for local government and private industry. She specialises in training senior managers on how to handle broadcast interviews.
